RYAN SCHEKLER – RED CAMERA BEHIND THE SCENES SHOOT
Author: Kevin Du Toit aka KDT
I got the chance to see the behind the scenes making for the upgraded Ryan Scheckler website which deserves a look at as I respect web content that is golden, so plz check it out: http://www.ryanscheckler.com with the RED Camera which has taken Hollywood by storm taking 20% of the market which used to be dominated almost 100% by Panavision.
This is one tight site and it seems like all the stake, surf, snow, MX and moto sites are going with the full screen look instead of keeping it all in a small box websites, to name sum; DC Shoes and DVS Shoes.
MAKE IT COUNT – CHAPTER 2 “WATER”
The first incarnation of Element came in the form of a small collaborative, East Coast company called Underworld Element. Most often referred to as Underworld, the company was inspired by the hip-hop movement and used a mixture of urban styles and reflected a raw and controversial vibe.
Soon after its inception, Underworld was plagued with many challenges, and the business began to collapse. Its original crew had all moved on, and Johnny was left with two choices: either turn the struggling brand around, or abandon Underworld altogether and start something entirely new.

DISTRICT 9 – YOU HAVE TO WATCH!
Must see: Kevin Du Toit
If there is anything I know about South African’s -- it’s that they are extremely proud of their country. So I know I don’t even have to really say this because Neill Blomkamp’s movie it going to be one of the best films of the year and it’s is going to be seen by almost every South African.
This film truly blew my mind. First off the story is amazing, secondly it’s a South African director and thirdly it was shot in South Africa. AMEN.

james cameron’s avatar – The First Official Photo
As you all know I am a filmmaker by trade but a skateboarder by heart and when I saw this posted on the web I had to share it with you all.
I know some friends who worked on Avatar for James Cameron in his VFX department and even they would not utter a word to me about the film, look, story or technology they where exposed to or using. James Cameron is by far one of Hollywood’s visionaries when it comes to Visual Effects but he does know how to hit-the-nail-on-the-head when it comes to story.
I thought that Fox Studios who are behind the film would freak out know this image is flying around the web however they did say apparently the photo was sent out to a couple magazines this week. I will keep you posted on any more info and below are some links to other articles about AVATAR.
